Hello, I am looking for an acne product that WORKS. I would love some advice on the following products. I have oily skin but it also gets dry……I am 13 so are these healthy and okay for me to use?? Are they worth the price?? Do they work?…………

accutain works to make it go away and stay away. it has tons of side effects but you wil never see bad skin again after 6 month to a year of use. it drys you snok out really bad. go talk to a doctor to see if its the right thing for you.. i took it when i was 13.

Okay, I’m furious right now! Ever since I was ten years old I’ve had an unconquerable case of acne (I am 13)! I’ve tried Clean & Clear and Neutrogena for a few months each and none have made a difference. I am not over-medicating, I am washing my face twice a day, washing my hair so the gross oil’s don’t get on my face, etc. but it’s still terrible. I have talked to my mom about going to a Dermatologist but she doesn’t want to go because she says it’s only for "high matienence" people. I find it a real problem, and I really think I need to go to a Dermatologist.
So the point is; Should I go to a dermatologist? What skincare product should I use? I’ve looked at Exposed Acne Treatment and it looks pretty decent.
Please help!!

YES. There’s nothing frivolous about going to a dermatologist for acne. They have tools and expertise that no pharmacist or even GP can claim. I just bet you’d be thrilled with the improvement, Young Lady. But you are not the one who needs convincing, are you? So show this to your mom.

I’m a board certified otorhinolaryngologist with 32 years as a MD. If your kid is as miserable with her skin as she’s written (despite her sincere efforts at self-help), if you can manage to take her to a dermatologist for a consultation, please do.
Your kid needs your support on this… she already has mine.
