So tell me girls, are there any restrictions as to what use for your acne during the pregnancy?
I use neutrogina, and it has benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. It’s a face wash and a mask.
What other alternatives are available. My skin is extremely sensitive and I know I will eventually start to break out again.

To clarify. Everything I use is external. No pills or anything.

you can still use your face washes but you cannot use like accutane because they do cause birth defects

My skin was always clear before I got pregnant, now it’s terrible. I have acne not only all over my face but also on my neck and chest. I told my doctor about it and she gave me a cream but it didn’t help, it just made it worse. Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions/tips for me to try that are safe during pregnancy?

I use face pads to just clean my face and neck once or twice a day when it acts up. It did that with my daughter the whole time but this time is was mainly the first trimester and went away after that. My friends grandmother told her to wipe her face down with witch hazel which to me sounded weird but it really worked great for her and she had perfect skin the rest of the pregnancy.

I was using 10% benzyl peroxide, however my N.P. recommended I discontinue use.

Then I’d ask her/him what I could use. Or what they would recommend. Try something less harsh, such and Clean And Clear

I am 23 weeks pregnant and for the past week have had really bad acne. They are not just spots but the horrible pussy ones. I have had a couple on my face and neck but now they are on my chest. They dont itch or anything. Is this normal? What can I use to help get rid of them?
I dont know why but Y/A put a **** on my description. The word was pustual but with ssy on the end!

i am in the same boat…and it’s weird because i find that i’m getting them in odd places on my face..like i have a reoccurring one on the tip of my nose (lol)…how horrible is that!!!!
i’m also getting some underneath my chin. just bad. i’ve tried three different scrubs and find that st. ives apricot works best for me…it’s made me look semi-glowing…and most of the acne has faded.
