if what youre using works, keep with it!!!

if not, proactiv is my recommendation. it cleared up my face in literally 2 weeks. i LOVE it. i get a zit or two every month (ya know...being female and all lol) and then if i'm really stressed or emotional about something or havent had enough sleep, i get them too. but i used to get them every day! i just LOVE proactiv.

but like i said, if what you're doing is working...then keep with it!
References :
If it is really working, stick to the treatment you are using. If it is too expensive, check the active ingredient (many acne products have benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, sometimes glycolic acid as the main ingredient), then switch to a cheaper version that has the same active ingredient. That way your skin won't break out as if it were adjusting to new chemicals.

Proactiv I would not recommend, which has the active ingredient of benzoyl peroxide. It dried my skin and makes it feel very rough. Sometimes the products even burned! The informercials claim that it is soo gentle, but it dried my skin so badly that it looked like I had chemical burns. However, my skin is sensitive and the product works for some people. I use salicylic acid in Nature's Cure (very cheap product!). It is much gentler on my skin and I have had better results with this brand over proactiv.
If you have acne scars that you are trying to get rid of, I would recommend Mederma. It expensive, but if you use it properly it will help fade acne scars and last several months. Good luck!
References :
i tried a product called ACNE FREE, that i purchased at my local ECKERDS. it is the generic version of PROACTIVE. the price is a reasonable 19.99 and it works just a well. once you get your acne under control it is best to continue utilizing products to
keep it under control( maybe not as often). i was very please with
my outcome after years of suffering from unsightly acne.
References :
I tried proactive myself and paid the price. I could smell the chemicals when I opened the bottles, but decided to give it a try anyway. It literally burned skin off my nose. It was horrible!
I then tried Arbonne at the advice of a good friend and it worked beautifully. It's a 3 step system- a wash, toner, and lotion. They also have a supplement.
For the red patches, you could use the Arbonne Intelligence Personalizer. It absorbs oil before moisturizing or applying makeup with a lihgt dusting. It helps to balance oily redness and keeps your matte finish intact for hours.

If this treatment is working and results can be seen- then STICK With it. It took me years to find something that actually worked. If what you are using is too expensive for you, then check for a similar system at Wal-mart or somewhere.
