i have had problems with acne since I was like 11 .. and pregnancy only flared it up and made my face unbearable.

I have been using proactiv for a few months now and am actually pimple/zit and acne free (i have the more serious kind) not the kind that druge store face wash would clear up ...

but using a salycic acid or benzoyl peroxide body wash should help if not clear up your body acne. You can try putting acne cream on it too! Showering daily helps. I know I can't daily .. i try to every other day .. cause i have an 11 month old and am too tired to even shower by the end of the day ...

but after your done being pregnant .. it will clear up most likely. My face was the clearest it had been since before I 'became a woman' over 12 years ago .. right after birth. I was glowing and had clear skin! Hopefully it clears up for you@
References :
Nothing worked for me but time. Into the third trimester for me and finally at 33 weeks my skin looks great, but everyone is different.

Good luck.
References :
Those silly hormones! They are all out of wack! There is really nothing you can do until things are back to normal, if there is such a thing. Proactive was a waste of my money. I have ance any way and it only got worse while pregnant. The only thing that worked for me was just keeping my face as clean as possible. The other thing, is if you have long hair, keep it up. The oils from your hair can cause break outs! Congrats on the baby and best luck with the acne!
References :
Nurse and mother of a 3 year old and 1 year old twins.

I know that there is not much that can be done that is safe during pregnancy. Try blotting through the day to get rid of excess oil. I think Neutragena sells some blotting papers that are awesome. Don't try too many things on your skin because you are just going to end up irritating it more and causing more breakouts. And make sure to take in a lot of water. That always helped me, even when I wasn't pregnant. I hope some of these work for you.
References :
I started having the same problem in my second trimester. My doctor said that because it is related to hormones there is very little that can be done about it. I found that Neutrogena clear pore astringent was effective. mine cleared up a little on its own around 25 weeks, but has just recently made a resurgence (I'm 34 weeks).

Proactive was effective for me during my second pregnancy, but useless this time around.

The makeup may be making it worse as well. I know its hard, but try to save it for special occasions and see if that helps
References :
Two of my friends had that. The only remedy was childbirth. Sorry...
References :
It is a part of pregnancy due to all of your changing hormones . you will probably have to suffer through it. remember everything that you use on your body isnt safe during prenancy. I would talk to your doctor before you use anything else
