i have a few acne scars that i want to get rid of fast because its almost christmas and i want clear skin for family pictures. i dont use makeup to cover it up because makeup causes me to break out. is there anything i can apply?
use black african soap and a good harsh natural sponge and then after washing apply a thin layer of shea butter to your face. I would also say that applying witch hazel as a toner helped get rid of mine.

Rosehip oil (buy an organic one though) will fade the scars in about 2 weeks time.

Tea Tree Oil from a health food store, gets rid of acne as well. My skin is super sensative and it works within a couple of days. Apply it with a Q-Tip of a cotton ball.

1. i do not trust home remedies @ all. they do. not. work. i tried the toothpaste thing. dried my skin up for 2 days. it peeled. peeled! not pretty.
2. acne scars, like all scars, don’t go away–they fade, but will not go away no matter what you do. i’m not encouraging this, but have you tried oil-free make up? those aren’t supposed to make you break out… neutrogena has a foundation w/ acne med (2% salicylic acid $14 @ walgreens/target)
do this 2-3x everyday to prevent pimples:
1. wash. neutrogena w. 2% salicylic acid to fight acne ($6-8 @ walgreens/target)
2. tone. drip some of it onto cotton. swab face w/ it. neutrogena has a toner w/ 2% acne med (salicylic acid) $6-7 @ walgreens/target
3. moisturize w/ clinique. $24 @ sephora/ulta
**for spot treatments: CLEARASIL ULTRA. apply immediately when you see a little bump until it goes away. 10% benzoyl peroxide. as strong as over the counter gets. $9-11 @ walgreens/target

There are no remedies that will get rid of acne fast. Everything takes time. Here are some natural solutions that you can try. Keep in mind that it’ll take some time to heal. Dont be discouraged.
1. Squeeze orange or lemon on a cotton ball and apply on the affected areas. Wash it after 20 minutes. Be careful when applying near your eyes.
2. Peel fresh garlic and rub it on your face. You can also use potatoes.
3. Drink lots of water. Wash you face regularly on intervals.
Extracts of fruits and vegetables will help minimize the redness and also clears the skin.
