A friend of mine had this same problem... she had AWFUL acne when she was pregnant with her son, but no acne when she was pregnant with her daughter. Both times (so far) I have been very lucky not to have that problem. When I was pregnant with my daughter, my skin was constantly dry... And this time, its just its normal self-no breakouts :-)

It just all the hormones, it just completely throws off the balance of things. Causing hair, skin & most of all: mood changes!!!
References :
Mom to 9.5 month old little girl & 25 wks pregnant with a little boy :-)

I have flawless skin, however when I was pregnant wit my daughter I was always broken out and my skin was blotchy. My face looked so bad and when I tried to cover it up with make-up it made it worst.

There is an old wives tail that says if your pregnant with a girl than she takes away your beauty!

~I did not have morning sickness, just nausea sometimes and I CRAVED chocolate.~
References :
Yes, it is very common.
"Pregnancy can trigger acne or make existing adult acne worse. (On the other hand, some women with acne-prone skin report a decrease in breakouts during pregnancy, so you never know.)"

Hormones! Those wonderful hormones make each pregnancy unique. That is why you can not base your future pregnancies on how your past pregnancies were. Every time is different. Some people have horrible nausea in one pregnancy and none in the next. It all depends on how much your body is producing and how you react to it.

Congratulations with your pregnancy though! :o)
