You just scared the sh*t out of me! I had no idea about this salycilic acid no no. So I went and checked the face wash I use everyday and it is in there and then googled it and this is what I came up with...

Again, doctors are being cautious by recommending that pregnant women avoid the topical use of salicylic acid. Small amounts applied to the skin — such as a salicylic acid-containing toner used once or twice a day — are considered safe, says Johnson.

But the concern is stronger about face and body peels containing salicylic acid. "This kind of 'soaking' in the ingredient is similar to taking one or more aspirin when pregnant," she explains.

So just face wash is fine. Whew! Maybe that helps you as well.

I use Clearasil and I just read this..

god my skin was terrible in the end after trying everything i bought a face steamer and a bottle of bio oil.
i put a few drops (bio oil) in with the water (in the face steamer) and steamed my face after washing every morning and night for a week then just every night there after. i also added a very very small amount of bio oil massaged into my face after id steamed it. it worked wonders and bio oil is great for your growing belly to its about ten pound a bottle but worth it.
my face is clear and perfect again as bio oil makes you skin tone even as well so i dont need to but make up on really ready for looking good for post birth photos haha xx
References :
TRUST ME! I totally feel your pain! lol I was SOOOOOO broken out since pretty much day one of this pregnancy! I just wash my face with soap a few times a day and if it gets super bad I will use ProActive sometimes. Now I am 32 weeks 4 days and it has gotten better, but I think it's just because it finally hasn't been 95 degrees outside the past couple weeks.
References :
32 weeks pregnant with baby #2
