  • Ok, Does anyone know of some good scar removal cream, or some way to remove scars formed from acne on the face?

Posted under acne scar cream by Dan Johnson on Friday 31 July 2009

Like, I have little acne, but it looks like i have a lot because of the darkened scars everywhere :( If anyone is a dermatologist, or knows what they are doing when it comes to skin, please tell me and give me tips or maybe home remedies that can help clear and hopefully get rid of the scars, cause that way my face will be so clear. And Prom is coming up in two months :D
I dont know how much help it will be now. But i do know that when women are going threw pregnancy, they are encouraged to use Coco Butter to reduce the chances of getting stretch marks. Stretch marks can scar a woman’s stomach for years. It could be a simple fix, but I dont know how much it can change in two months.

What happens if I store an acne treatment at high temperature?

Posted under back acne treatment by Dan Johnson on Friday 31 July 2009

My acne treatment states I should not store it above 25°C. Unfortunately, I left it in my car for three hours at high temperature. Does that solution remain effective and/or safe to use after high temperature exposure?

here are some remedies to treat acne:

    Skin care while pregnant?

Posted under exposed acne treatment by Dan Johnson on Friday 31 July 2009

Hello, I have adult acne, it’s not THAT bad now since using Exposed acne treatments. But I noticed that it has gotten worse since being pregnant with my baby. As I was browsing through the net I stumbled upon an article stating that using skin care treatments w salicylic contained in it would be harmful. I don’t buy it. I mean come on now they say don’t do this or that and in other countries they do anyway and it works .. Is this another opinion meant to scare new mothers? Is there someone out there that is pregnant and uses acne treatments and gave birth to perfect fine babies? Thank you for any input/advice!

    >>Use the right skin care products for you

"Since some topical ingredients get absorbed into the bloodstream, you should know which ones to avoid during pregnancy. It is recommended that you stay away from retinoid, a type of vitamin A that speeds up cell division (quickening your skin’s renewal) and prevents skin collagen from breaking down. Another chemical to avoid is salicylic acid. This mild acid is used to treat certain skin disorders, including acne, and you can find it in a number of skin products, such as cleansers and toners. Ensure that any peel you might book at a spa does not contain salicylic acid."

I used Duac Gel and also Quinderm, both given to me by my own doctor who assured me they was safe.

heya. i used to have really bad scars left from teenage acne, but Decleor prolagene gel totally cleared it all up and left me with an even skin tone.
its £23 so not completely over your budget, i definitely think its worth a try. I get mine from the Decleor website, but i know they sell it at John Lewis stores and Selfridges stores too.

What kind of acne treatment won’t interfere with birth control?

Posted under back acne treatment by Dan Johnson on Wednesday 29 July 2009

I’m meeting with my dermatologist to discuss going on acne treatment. The problem is, I’m going to be with my mom, who I haven’t told I was having sex yet. I need to be put on something that won’t interfere with the effectiveness of my birth control. Anyone know of one that actually works? I’m looking for an oral treatment since creams and gels don’t work for me and only dry out my skin.
I’m ON birth control, and it didn’t help.

I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.

Best drugstore acne scar removal cream?

Posted under acne scar cream by Dan Johnson on Monday 27 July 2009

I suffer from mild acne which is not much of a problem. Although I have mild acne, it leaves a ton of scars that takes ages to fade away. I wanted to know if there are any creams from drugstores that successfully help diminish scars and help improve the skin. I’m not asking for a miracle-worker, but something that I will slowly see a gradual improvement on. Any suggestions are welcome and those from your own experience are highly recommended. Thanks!

Neutogena products are the best, I would buy medicated soap, stuff that’s pure……..

What treatment can i get to remove deep follicular plugs on my nose ?

Posted under blackhead treatment by Dan Johnson on Monday 27 July 2009

I have had what i thought was blackheads all over my nose for around 9 years, But these are very dep and when i squeeze them out they always come back, Is there any sort of treatment to remove these plugs ?

go to boots and ask for something with salicylic acid in it.

there are lots of blackhead removal lotions, but you need to spend a bit more for one that works.

prior to this you’ll need to cleanse your face (don’t squeeze cos you’ll end up infecting your skin or at least encouraging spider veins)

perhaps use a facial exfoliator too, which is a grainy soap sold speshly for faces.

then bung some blackhead stuff on. i use a swiss one that costs about £10. ask a member of staff for help.

to stop them coming back so bad again, steam your face or at least regularly cleanse and scrub, and use the lotion.

    good luck

How can I get rid of my acne scars completely and quickly? (pictures)?

Posted under acne pictures by Dan Johnson on Monday 27 July 2009

I have had these marks for probably nearly at least half a year now (most of them for many years) and they don’t seem like they are going away. They might be getting slightly better but nowhere near where I would like to be. I really don’t have any acne now (on face anyways) but I have red spots and scars left from the acne I’ve had.

    Pics:
    http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=fx5q39&s=3
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=fji420&s=3 (this one looks like pimples but they are only red spots that are left from the acne that was there, it feels smooth)

    My routine includes the following:
-Washing with Clean & Clear 10% benzoyl peroxide once a day (morning or night)
-Washing with St. Ives Microdermabrasion once a day (morning or night, it varies)
-Sometimes I use Basis face wash to clean my skin if I wore makeup
-Using Alba toner or Boscia Clear Complexion Tonic twice a day (one, the other, or both)
-Finishing with Benzaclin or Olay moisturizer after each time

I use benzoyl peroxide products to prevent acne, and I use the microdermabrasion face wash to attempt to smooth my skin and possibly fade the scars.

What else should I do or what should I do instead?
Nothing I am doing is really working as well as I would like it to.
Thanks *post inflammatory hyper pigmentation* I didn’t know the term so I just use scar, but that’s what I really meant is hyper pigmentation.

Those are post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. They will fade but it is going to take a little time. As for scarring, I don’t see any. My dermatologist said scarring is only when there are little pocks or uneven ruts in the skin. Since your skin is smooth, you do not have any permanent scarring.

What is the best acne treatment for teens?

Posted under back acne treatment by Dan Johnson on Monday 27 July 2009

I have mild acne but my current face wash, which I’ve been using up until now with good results, is no longer working. What is the best daily face wash/treatment?

for me, those face wash things never worked but i found something really simple that worked for me, and i love it cuz its completely cheap and easy and quick. i totttttally swear by it! here’s what you do:

    1. fill up your sink with steaming hot water
    2. put your face over the bowl of the sink and put a towel over your head, allowing you to steam your face without the steam escaping. this opens your clogged pores.
    3. stay like this for 3-5 minutes, then drain the sink and wash your face with your regular cleanser and warm water.
    4. finish with a splash of cold water to close your pores
    5. finally, apply any spot treatment you might have such as clearisil to any blemishes

i know it looks like a lot, but its cheap and it honestly works. plus you don’t have to buy anything so there’s nothing to lose by trying it. it usually takes about a day after doing this for your zits to start going away. i usually do this about once a week but if your acne is bad you may want to do it more often. good luck :)

I NEED TO RUN AWAY FROM ACNE!!?

Posted under exposed acne treatment by Dan Johnson on Monday 27 July 2009

I’m 15. I have very oily skin and in the sun it looks even worse. i look horrible. I also have the type of acne that doesn’t get red or have white heads on top, I just have lots and lots of bumps on my face which look really bad. i think this type of acne is moderate. i found a system called Clearpores and from reviews it sounds kinda good (it works for some people; doesn’t work for others.) I’ve also heard of Exposed acne treatment. Has anyone used these products?
Should I get Clearpores acne system?

Take some soap & a wash rag and scrub your face twice a day. I mean really scrub your face ! This will get rid of the worst of acne -
