It actually goes a lot further than just vitamins. I have been an acne sufferer for a lot of years and I have named it the trial and error disease.

I say this because quite often you have to try a lot of different things before finding what helps you.

What works for me wont always work for someone else.

Something else is that a lot of people dont give their medication time to work. They get impatient and give up and move on to the next remedy before the first one got a chance to start working.

Desarrollo de tu bebé: Tu bebito ha crecido media pulgada desde la semana pasada, tiene la longitud de una zanahoria. Ahora mide 10,5 pulgadas (casi 27 centímetros desde la cabecita hasta los pies) y además, ¡ya pesa 0,7 libras (unos 330 gramos)! Si tu bebé es una niña, ya tiene la vagina formada, y si está en la posición adecuada, te podrán confirmar si será un bebito o una bebita cuando te hagan una ecografía, en caso de que todavía no lo sepas.

En estos días no para de moverse, como puede que hayas notado. Según algunos estudios, un feto se mueve más o menos 50 veces cada hora, ¡incluso cuando está durmiendo! Todos esos movimientos sirven para estimular su desarrollo físico y mental. Quizás durante el día no sientas las pataditas, giros, estiramientos y toda la gimnasia que tu hijito hace, pero por la noche…¡parece que baila zapateado! Pero, ¿por qué espera a que estés descansando para moverse tanto? Lo cierto es que durante el día también se mueve igual, pero tú sientes menos toda esa actividad que cuando dejas de moverte.
Cambios en tu cuerpo: Es posible que durante este periodo te sientas bastante cómoda. Tu pancita no está demasiado grande y las molestias asociadas con el inicio del embarazo pueden haberse suavizado. Es un momento muy lindo del embarazo, así que ¡relájate y disfrútalo todo lo que puedas!
Es posible que haya algunas cositas que te estén preocupando. Por ejemplo, el exceso de grasa en la cara puede haberte producido algunos granitos de acné. Para reducir este tipo de erupciones, intenta lavarte bien con un jabón suave y agua, al menos dos veces al día.
Debes tener mucha precaución con los medicamentos para el acné, así que consulta siempre con tu doctor antes de usar uno. Esto se debe a que ciertos medicamentos pueden producir defectos de nacimiento en el bebé.
Puede que también te hayas notado algunas venas varicosas o várices (venas hinchadas), especialmente si tu mamá también las tuvo. Eso se debe a que el embarazo pone una presión añadida en las venas de las piernas. El volumen de la sangre se ha incrementado y el útero ejerce mucha presión en la vena cava inferior, que es una vena grande que devuelve la sangre desde la parte inferior del cuerpo hasta el corazón. Por si fuera poco, el aumento de la progesterona hace que las paredes de las venas se relajen y se vuelvan más prominentes. Las várices tienden a empeorar con cada embarazo. Lo normal es que aparezcan en las piernas, pero a veces también aparecen en la vulva.

That’s not to say you won’t have some minor glitches to deal with now. For example, increased oil production may contribute to the development (or worsening) of acne. If that’s the case, be diligent about washing well with a gentle soap or cleanser twice a day, and make sure that any moisturizer or make-up you use is oil-free. Don’t take any oral acne medications — some are very hazardous during pregnancy — or use any topical acne products without first checking with your practitioner.
You’re also more prone to varicose veins now. As your pregnancy progresses, there’s increasing pressure on the veins in your legs; higher progesterone levels, which may cause the walls of your veins to relax, can make the problem worse. You’re more likely to get varicose veins if other family members have them. Also, they tend to get worse with each successive pregnancy and as you age. To help prevent or minimize varicose veins, exercise daily, prop up your feet and legs whenever possible, sleep on your left side, and wear maternity support hose.
